Sennheiser have gone great lengths to develop an authentication system relying on an expensive holographic label when all that is really needed is an 'authenticity card', essentially a piece of paper with a serial number on it concealed by a scratch-off layer, and a serial number or even just a letter engraved/etched somewhere on the microphone. Sennheiser Serial Number Location; I got a pair of sennheiser HD 449 headphones a few months ago, but my cat severed the cable. I'm going to send it in for repair, but I don't have the box. The guy with serial 00002 has his on eBay for $1000. What a clown. It's hilarious that Massdrop came up with this serial number nonsense that means.

Sennheiser Serial Number Location Lookup
I sent my Sennheiser PX100 II to repair on warranty
since they told me it take 2 weeks i just went and bought another PX100 II to use meanwhile
To my surprise 2 days later Sennheiser sent me Px100 II
instead of repair they had remplaced them with new one in box.
Now the problem is that I had both headphones on the table and I forgot which is the one i bought
and the one Sennheiser gave me.
Both are black and PX100II and both look exactly the same
I have both box here and there is a serial number sticker on them
and one with the price tag so i know which one i bought in the store
but i find no serial number on the headphones itself
i checked the driver lightly but could not see any there either.
so i dont know the headphone was bought in store and which sent by sennheiser.
What i want to find out is which one is the one sennheiser remplaced
and which one i bought....
It probaly matters if in the future i am to send some for repair
so i use the right Ticket with the right headphones
Yea..i will keep both boxes incase... but there should be some sort of serial number on the headphones itself
that sennheiser staff check if is the correct one?
So how do i find this out....
or is this impossible?
If impossible then whenever a headphone broke down i can just use the newest ticket of the one i bought in store?
Cause i have no way of telling which one is the one sennheiser remplaced and the one i bought new realy
